Elite and Select Teams 2020-2021 (2011 through 2007 Teams)

The goal of all Seacoast Spartans teams is to provide a comprehensive skills development program for the serious and committed hockey player following USA Hockey's American Development Model (ADM) and the research guidelines for Long-Term Athlete Development.

What sets the Seacoast Spartans apart from other youth hockey organizations?

-        Focus on family oriented organization culture and environment,

-        Professional skills instructors managing all on-ice skills sessions,

-        State of the art off-ice performance center with professional off-ice instruction, and

-        Talented Coaching Staff with a vast knowledge of the game (95% of our staff a has experience at the Collegiate and Professional level).

Player Tuition Cost: $3495.00 / Goaltender Tuition Cost 2 Goalies per team $2750.00 or 1 Goalie per team $3495.00

-        Two 80-minute split sheet practice sessions each week (one professionally run on-ice skill session per week).

-        Elite Teams play in the Elite 9 Hockey League (E9). League schedule is approximately 28-32 games.

-        Select Teams may play in the Boston Hockey League (BHL). League schedule is approximately 28-32 games.

o    If a Select Team is not a competitive match with the BHL, the team will play in the Valley League (35 games).

-        Fees for E9/BHL/Valley League tournaments plus 3 independent tournaments to total approximately 40+ games.

-        One weekly off-ice training session run by the Athletic Performance Center of Exeter Hospital (APC).

-        Home and Away mid-weight sublimated jersey and socks.

-        Workout T-shirt and shorts.

-        Team warm up sweat suit.

-        Practice jersey and practice socks.

-        August Team Training Camp 

Excludes: Spartans shells/pants (mandatory), Spartans gloves (optional), black helmet, and additional tournaments.

** Goaltenders Instruction:  Included in the goaltenders tuition is professional goaltending instruction on either Tuesday or Thursday nights. More detailed information on the specifics of the GDS goalie Instruction package will be announced soon.

Length of the Season: Our regular practice sessions typically start the last weekend in August and go through February. Occasionally, we will have some ice in August if our teams are playing in an early season tournament. Games will start up the weekend after Labor Day and will end in early to mid March depending on how the individual teams fair in their season ending tournaments.

Practice Days/Times: These teams will practice for one-hour and twenty-minute sessions on Tuesdays and Thursdays in approximately the 4:30 - 9:00pm time range. Some teams may have Monday or Friday night practices. The youngest teams practicing in the earliest scheduled times. Practice times will be consistent throughout the season. There may be a slight adjustment to times once high school hockey starts, but it will then remain consistent throughout the remainder of the season. 

Number of Games: Approximately 40 games. The E9 or BHL schedule is 28-32 games. The remainder of the schedule will be tournaments or independent scrimmages both home and away.

Off-Ice Speed, Agility, and Strength Training: Each team receives one off-ice session per week. These sessions are held on the same night as their on-ice practice either immediately before or immediately after the ice session. All speed, agility and strength activities are age-appropriate and directed by professionals.
